OPEN Call for Partner Europe/Asia – K2 Capacity Building in the field of Youth – Deadline 02.09.15

The Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) has published a new Call for Proposal for Capacity Building Projects under the new Education Training and Youth programme called ‘Erasmus+’. Capacity Building projects are transnational cooperation projects based on multilateral partnerships between organisations active in the field of youth in Programme and Partner Countries.

Work in Progress is applying with an innovative project of exchange of good practice in the field of Social Entrepreneurship. Currently, EU faces huge youth unemployment and social entrepreneurship is still something new and unexplored among young people of Europe. Meanwhile, in India entrepreneurship is governed by young adults and the unemployment rate is as low as 12%. The idea is to build a path for young entrepreneurs, from 6 different Countries, and make them able to design and develop their own idea for a social enterprise with the support of expert coming from the partner countries. During the exchange in India, the project will be organised as living laboratory, as an incubator, where business ideas will be launched.

The project aims to: –>foster cooperation and exchanges in the field of youth between Programme Countries and Partner Countries from different regions of the world; –>improve the quality and recognition of youth work, non-formal learning and volunteering in Partner Countries and enhance their synergies and complementarities with other education systems, the labour market and society; –>foster the development, testing and launching of schemes and programmes of non-formal learning mobility at regional level (i.e. within and across regions of the world) –>promote transnational non-formal learning mobility between Programme and Partner Countries, notably targeting young people with fewer opportunities, with a view to improving participants’ level of competences and fostering their active participation in society;

The initiatives are based on non formal education methodologies as educational tool to boost local development and creation of new job model.
