STRAMURALES, un esempio da seguire anche in Europa
Anche l’Europa punta su Stornara e sulla street art approvando il progetto Erasmus+ “STRAMURALES - Participatory Urban Art as an European process of Adult Inclusion and Community Development", un progetto in cui l’arte urbana e la cittadinanza attiva diventano un esempio da seguire in grado di favorire l’inclusione e il dialogo all’interno della comunità, attraverso un processo partecipativo che si conclude con la realizzazione di quattro opere artistiche che avranno come tematica l’Europa. Negli ultimi anni sono sempre più i progetti che in Europa favoriscono l'arte urbana come strumento di inclusione sociale, si tratta spesso di interventi di grande impatto visivo che hanno l’obiettivo di valorizzare vie e quartieri attraverso la realizzazione di opere uniche sulle facciate di edifici altrimenti anonimi, contribuendo ad accrescere un senso di appartenenza e di comunità in grado di migliorare la qualità della vita stessa.
L'associazione STORNARA LIFE da diversi anni organizza la rassegna artistica STRAMURALES riuscendo così a posizionare la città di Stornara come capitale pugliese della Street Art. Grazie alle sue 83 splendide opere di street art realizzate da noti artisti con il coinvolgimento dell'intera comunità, questa piccola cittadina diviene di fatto un vero e proprio Museo di arte contemporanea a cielo aperto. Entro agosto 2022 si punta a 101 opere realizzate. Uno degli scopi dell'associazione STORNARA LIFE è quello di inserire Stornara negli ormai famosi circuiti italiani dei paesi e dei borghi con murales, in modo che diventi meta turistica degli appassionati d'arte per tutto l'anno. Vicina al Gargano e a molte mete turistiche pugliesi, anche religiose, Stornara potrebbe diventare una tappa nell'immediato entro terra come capitale pugliese della Street Art, essendo distante poche decine di chilometri dalle coste tra le più belle d'Italia, e vicina anche a Monte Sant'Angelo e San Giovanni Rotondo.
Questo processo culturale collettivo da condividere come opportunità formativa europea e come attrattore turistico per la promozione del territorio è alla base del progetto europeo approvato "STRAMURALES - Participatory Urban Art as an European process of Adult Inclusion and Community Development" che vedrà la partecipazione di importanti realtà europee come SAMA – Street Art Museum Amsterdam, DESINCOOP – Portugal e ACD La Hoya- Spain con l’intento di includere Stornara in una dimensione sempre più internazionale, fornendo maggiori competenze sul management dei percorsi artistici di inclusione della Comunità, della pubblica amministrazione e rafforzamento della cooperazione europea. Al fine di valorizzare la promozione del patrimonio locale attraverso la street art, sarà prodotta, oltre le quattro opere artistiche con tematica europea, una pubblicazione contenente le buone pratiche e le opportunità di apprendimento mappate dai partners europei.
Il progetto europeo "STRAMURALES - Participatory Urban Art as an European process of Adult Inclusion and Community Development" rappresenta una strategia territoriale volta alla condivisione di buone pratiche per innescare processi di comunità.

STRAMURALES, a best practices to be shared also in Europe
Europe also focuses on Stornara and street art by approving the Erasmus + project "STRAMURALES - Participatory Urban Art as an European process of Adult Inclusion and Community Development" a project in which urban art and active citizenship become an example to follow able to foster inclusion and dialogue within the community through a participatory process that ends with the creation of four artistic works that will have Europe as main theme. In recent years, more and more projects in Europe have promoted the urban art as a tool for social inclusion, these are often interventions of great visual impact that aim to enhance streets and neighborhoods through the creation of unique works on their facades, buildings that otherwise would remain anonymous, helping to increase a sense of ownership to the community and improving the quality of life itself.
The STORNARA LIFE association has been organizing the STRAMURALES artistic exhibition for several years, thus managing to position the city of Stornara as the Apulian capital of Street Art. Thanks to its 83 splendid street art works created by well-known artists with the involvement of the entire community, this small town becomes in fact a real open-air museum of contemporary art. By August 2022, the aim is to have 100 completed artistic works. One of the purposes of the STORNARA LIFE association is to include Stornara in the now famous Italian circuits of villages with murals, so that it becomes a tourist destination for art lovers throughout the year. Close to the Gargano and to many Apulian tourist destinations, including religious ones, Stornara could become an immediate stop inland as the Apulian capital of Street Art, being a few tens of kilometers away from the most beautiful coasts of Italy, and also close to Monte Sant'Angelo and San Giovanni Rotondo.
This collective cultural process to be shared as a European educational opportunity and as a tourist attraction for the promotion of the territory is the basis of the approved european Erasmus+project "STRAMURALES - Participatory Urban Art as an European process of Adult Inclusion and Community Development" which will see the participation of important europeans partners such as SAMA - Street Art Museum Amsterdam, DESINCOOP – Guimaraes, Portugal and ACD La Hoya – Elche, Spain with the aim of including Stornara in an increasingly international dimension, providing greater expertise on the management of artistic inclusion paths of the Community, public administration and strengthening of European cooperation. In order to enhance the promotion of local heritage through street art, in addition to the four artistic works with a European theme, a publication will be produced containing the best practices and learning opportunities mapped by the European partners.
The European project "STRAMURALES - Participatory Urban Art as an European process of Adult Inclusion and Community Development" represents a territorial strategy aimed at sharing good practices to trigger community processes.
