Mediterranean Strategic Partnership
EUMED Project Design Hub is a capacity building format that can serve as a transformative and empowering force capable of showing ways of bringing Africa and Europe closer in a win-win partnership, improving private/public welfare and revitalizing communities. The past 60 years European Union has been committed to creating a united, well-connected and cooperative block of European countries. Council of Europe, since its inception in 1949 has been working extensively to promote social justice and fundamental values - respect for human dignity and human rights, freedom, tolerance, democracy, equality and the rule of law. The recent political, economic and social changes have led to increasing nationalism and isolation of societies divided by borders. In today’s world there is a strong need to reaffirm European vision and approach for cross-country collaboration in solving some of the issues EU and its neighboring regions are facing. EUMED Project Design Hub is where EUMED countries think and act together, turning common needs into innovative projects with maximum impact, visibility and result-evidence. Its first edition, supported by Erasmus+ Programme, will be launched on 27th September 2019 in Galatone (Italy) with 20.000€, 10 CSOs, 22 EUMED project managers from both continents as core drivers. Changemakers, project managers and youth workers are ready to identify and create an Agenda of common clusters geenrating together 20 new EUMED projects and impact-oriented strategic partnerships, exchange best practices and innovative tools to reach out to marginalized young people specifically focusing on transferring and promoting fundamental values of human rights, tolerance, democracy.
